7th Annual Jackson High School Soccer 7v7 Tournament:

 

Who for:  Boys’ HS Soccer Teams

When:     June 20, 2009 (date may change)

Where:   Massillon Jackson High School

Cost:       $200 for one team, $350 for two teams, and $450 for three teams

                 from  the same school.

Highlights:

·              2 divisions for JV and Varsity.

·              Great Competition!

·              Many touches on the ball for everyone.

·              Many chances to work on elements that only game situations teach.

·              Get your HS team together early and get a jumpstart on the fall season!

·              Excellent fields; well organized.

·              Athletic Trainer on site.

·              Concession Stand.

·              Supports the Soccer Booster Club and their Memorial Scholarships given to senior soccer players at Jackson.

·               Field: 70 x 50 yards.

·              Goals are regulation, 8’ x 24’.

Game Rules:

 

·         Each Game is 2x15 min halves. (Varsity)

·         6 field players and a goalie.

·         The time and score are kept by the referee.

·         Regular HS rules apply for fouls, subs, and the goalkeeper with the exceptions:

o              No offsides.

o              No throw-ins untouched to the opponent’s goalbox.

o              Goalies may not throw the ball to the other goalbox.

o              No punting.

·               All referee decisions are final!

 

 

Additional Notes

• Each team is guaranteed 3 games. In the past, most teams played at least 4 games.
• An athletic trainer and medical attention will be on site.
• All rules of conduct at Jackson High School apply. No smoking on school grounds.
• Tournament Director’s decisions are final.
• Fighting will be cause for removal of player(s) and/or team from the tournament.
• Inclement weather may alter times of games. Games in progress will be considered final.
• Teams need to be at their field ready to play by their game time or risk forfeit.

Directions to Jackson High School from Cleveland and Akron. Travel south on I-77. Get off at the Massillon Rd. (route 241) exit. Take a right onto Massillon Rd. (South) and follow for about 10 miles. (the road will be called Wales Ave. once you enter Stark Co.) You will reach an intersection with Fulton Rd. Turn Right on Fulton.  The school is about 1/2 mile up on the left on Fulton. The tournament fields will be located behind the soccer stadium! From Columbus. Travel north on I-71 to I-76. Travel east on I-76 to I-77 south. Get off at the Massillon Rd. (route 241) exit. Take a right onto Massillon Rd. (South) and follow for about 10 miles. (the road will be called Wales Ave. once you enter Stark Co.) You will reach an intersection with Fulton Rd. Turn Right on Fulton.  The school is about 1/2 mile up on the left on Fulton. The tournament fields will be located behind the soccer stadium!
